Grammy Win for Snarky Puppy!
Enormous congratulations go out to Royal Dukes Chris McQueen, a member of the band Snarky Puppy who won a Grammy for Best R&B Performance with their song Something performed with Lalah Hathaway. Music awards dont come much bigger than that - congratulations again guys! Check out Snarky Puppys music, information and tour dates here
Royal Dukes Band in Detail
Royal Dukes guitarist Josh Sheiman recently released his debut album '21st century.' It consist of 9 all original jazz/fusion instrumental compositions. The CD features the talents of Josh Sheiman, Art Frisote, Andrew Gordon, and Royal Dukes's own Jordan Almes on Drums. The CD release party featured another Royal Dukes member, Lamar Boulet, on the trumpet. Check out recordings of the Josh Sheiman Group on iTunes or CD Baby!
Original Legends of the Blues
Royal Dukes Saxophonist Eric Demmer performed for a show last month appropriately named Original Legends of the Blues. The show was held at the Englewood Event Center and features Jimmi Mayes, Joey Gilmore, Jerry Jemmott, Barry Seelen, and Eric Demmer. If you haven't heard of these guys, check out their bios! Some serious players. Eric himself has toured with Gatemouth Brown for 10+ years as well as played with some of the all time greats such as Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton. Not too shabby!
Royal Dukes Band on Oklahoma Live
Matt Johns led a small contingent of the Royal Dukes Band on KSBIs Oklahoma Live . Matt performed Blowin Smoke by Kasey Musgraves, as well as Somebody Like You by Keith Urban after an interview with hosts Abby and Drew, and shared a quality story or two about working in weddings.

That's right! We're the cool cats performing in the North Texas Food Bank commercial. Keep an eye out, it airs nationally! Food banks have never looked so funky...
American idol semi-finalist
Royal Dukes singer Kady Malloy made it as far as the semi finals of American Idol! Congratulations! Luckily for us, Simon will be giving her no more grief though - shes back singing with us as a celebrated lady Duke, so we're pretty happy.
Award winning songwriter's in our ranks
Congratulations to Royal Dukes singer Matt Dunn for realeasing his new album 'Black Lines'. Keep an eye out for this guy, he's one to watch.
From Texas to Broadway!
Royal Duke Tyler Berry was flown into New York recently to audition for broadway smash The Book of Mormon! We've all got our fingers crossed for him - an incredibly talented musician and performer.
